Training programs and Education workshops were conducted at the following organisations or institutions: 2008 -2009
• Neo Birth Pregnancy Care Centre – Pretoria . Training of volunteers as lay counsellors for crisis intervention focusing on unplanned pregnancies and abortion.
• Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) Workshops on Crisis Pregnancy and Abortion for the Peer Mentors. How to deal with these issues on the campuses and residences. Refresher programs and camps were conducted for students from all the campuses of TUT.
• Department of Education in Gauteng West and Johannesburg North for the ISS Districts. Different workshops were facilitated for Educators on Teen Pregnancies in the schools as well as workshops on Trauma Debriefing. Workshops were held for Learners at different venues on Teen Pregnancies.
• Walter Sisulu University : Workshops were held at the East London , Butterworth & Umtata Campuses for the Members of the House Committees on Teen Pregnancies and how to deal with it on the campus.
• New Pregnancy Centres were established at Delmas; East London & Springs. Volunteers were trained as lay counsellors focussing on unplanned pregnancies, abortion and post-abortion counselling.
• Trainings at Pretoria were conducted to equip Youth leaders, Educators, Project managers and other members of the communities to reach out to those who are facing various types of crises.
• Lectures and workshops at various church counselling centres were presented on different topics: Lewende Woord Pretoria, Bryanston Methodist Counselling Centre.
• Abba Baby House: Volunteers were interviewed and screened to qualify to care for babies in need.
• Telefriend Telephone Counselling Services. Trainings were given to volunteers who had to minister to callers.
• Hatfield Christian Church Hopeline: Training in Communication skills for the Telephone Ministry
• Gateway International – “Leaders in Youth Development”. Workshops were conducted for the Youth Workers who are on a permanent basis at the schools and act as youth counsellors and assisting the educators.
Over a 1000 people were formally trained in crisis counselling, pre- & post abortion counselling and trauma debriefing workshops during 2008-2009
